In the 15th round of the Clausura 2025 tournament, Sarmiento de Junín defeated Instituto de Córdoba 2-1 at the Eva Perón stadium. Sarmiento took an early lead, with Manuel Garcia scoring in the 6th minute and adding another four minutes later. Instituto managed to pull a goal back through Stefano Moreyra in the 22nd minute, creating suspense until the final whistle. With this victory, Sarmiento, coached by Facundo Sava, climbed to ninth place in Group B, remaining just one spot away from a playoff berth. Instituto, on the other hand, must now recover quickly to avoid falling behind in the race for qualification.
